OutHounds was founded with the mission to make it easier for children and adults to spend more time outdoors. We have more fun when outside however our climate, busy lifestyles and society changes means we are stuck inside more than ever.

We curate high quality made to measure products to make it easy to extend existing living and commercial spaces outside. We help domestic and commercial customers with practical advice, transparent pricing, a dedicated design team and flexible installation options. We do everything in our power to ensure your outdoor living or gastronomy project is a success.

To complete our mission we needed our products to be as affordable as possible. This is achieved using an internet-based business model and a network of highly motivated local trade installers. Eliminating the need for expensive middle men and pass on the savings directly to our customers.

OutHounds are the experts in outdoor living structures. We work with end customers, architects and construction firms to create amazing all weather outdoor rooms and spaces. We work closely with quality manufacturers of retractable and louvred roofs plus side enclosures systems. We offer transparent advice to help you realise your dream space within budget.

Clawford Lakes, Devon

This brand new leisure resort in Devon, Clawford Lakes wanted a standout restaurant experience for its guests. Boasting great views, the client wanted to fully take advantage of their vista. Flexibility for fixing heaters, lighting and accessories were a must. The opportunity to adapt in all weather conditions and create a pleasant dining experience all year round was key.

  • As commonly seen a sporting stadium retractable roof is a large retracting roof covering a vast area and it is able to be opened to provide coverage when weather conditions are not favourable, and to be closed when the sun may be shining. The Ashelta retractable roof is minimised so it can be used as a residential retractable roof system, for example: installed as an outdoor kitchen cover, or implementing it into outdoor seating spaces that bars and restaurants may want to cover, this allows them to increase they capacity as they don’t have to worry about the weather, please take a look at our project pages to see the product in use.

  • We work with both Commercial clients and Domestic clients. Our products can cover large square footage areas or much smaller footprints. Motorised roofs and windows are ideal for businesses, creating a flexible spaces and increasing business capacity. Or create a unique and cosy alfresco entertaining spaces for your home.

  • Each project is unique, so projects time scales will vary depending on the size of the project. A project can take minimum 8 weeks, when ordering a product from us.

  • Do you have an open space, a courtyard, a clear wall or balcony. With solid ground or potential for adding foundations and an area to direct drainage. Then your space will work!

  • Our baseline pricing for products are available on our website. We provide different services; Supply, Design + Supply, Design + Supply + Install. Once an enquiry has been made we can provide a priced proposal based on which route you would like to take.

  • You can customise each product individually. Most products have the options to change aluminium parts colours and finish, and fabric colours or material finish. Frame materials can be customised with steel, wood, or aluminium. Plus awnings can be branded. We take pride in making each project perfect for you and your space.

  • We work nationwide. Based on the Welsh Border near Oswestry, OutHounds are only 90 minutes away from both Liverpool and Birmingham. We have clients projects all across the UK and expert engineers who can travel nationwide.
